Two months ago, we spoke about the MX series of Juniper routers and the EX series of Juniper switches. This month we are looking at the T series of Juniper routers and the QFX series of Juniper switches. These models of Juniper routers and Juniper switches are the next step up from the previously mentioned ones.
The T Series of Juniper Routers
The T series of Juniper routers feature a larger base than any core routers in the world. They are capable of running complex networks with ease. There are four models of T Juniper routers, the T640, the T1600, the T4000, and the T Series Multichassis. Most network specialists view this series as one of the world’s most proven core courters. It is capable of supporting the world’s leading MPLS suite, including differentiated services, point-to-multipoint label-switched paths, and hierarchal MPLS. In terms of speeds, it clocks in a respectable 2450 Gbps per slot, while the multichassis is capable of supporting upwards of 22 Tbps.
The QFX Series of Juniper Switches
The QFX series of Juniper switches are capable of supporting high-density networks. These high-performance platforms are designed for top-of-rack, end-of-row, and spine-and-core aggregation. These models of Juniper switches can be deployed as 10GbE, 40GbE, or 100GbE. They come in four models, the QFX 3500, the QFX3600, the QFX5100, and the QFX10000. They offer high performance and low latency and have unparalleled longevity.
